How we process and safeguard data submitted by job, courier, and ambassador applicants

This Candidate Privacy Notice applies to all individuals applying for roles at FUTA MART, including Campus Brand Ambassadors, Peer Dispatch Couriers, Shuttle Drivers, Student Support Representatives, and Engineering Interns.

1. Information Collected from Candidates

When you apply for a position or register as an on-demand courier, we may collect:

Personal Identification: Full name, student matriculation number, department, graduation year, and phone number.
Courier & Driver KYC: Valid driver license (for motorized shuttles and keke drivers), selfie verification, vehicle plate number, and emergency contact details.
Work & Academic History: Resumes, portfolios, references, and relevant extracurricular leadership experience.
Assessment Records: Interview notes, onboarding test scores, and driver safety checks.

2. Purpose & Legal Basis for Processing

To evaluate applicant qualifications, safety records, and suitability for campus dispatch roles.
To verify campus enrollment and ensure peer couriers are active, accountable students.
To maintain vehicle and rider safety records for campus security compliance.
To contact candidates regarding interview schedules, role offers, or courier approval status.

3. Data Confidentiality & Security

Candidate information is strictly confidential. Only authorized hiring administrators and safety verification officers have access to your submitted documents. KYC and identification files are encrypted and stored in secure private buckets with strict access controls.

4. Data Retention Period

For successful applicants, candidate records transition into your active merchant or courier profile. For unsuccessful candidates, application data is retained for up to 6 months in case other campus opportunities arise, after which it is securely purged upon request.

5. Candidate Rights

You retain full rights to inspect, update, or withdraw your application and request deletion of submitted files by emailing careers@futamart.com.
